Claudius, the Shirtless Librarian

I’ve been so busy shelving books lately. We just got a new shipment all about types of soil, so I spent the day unboxing and organizing 50 books about soil. Still going, will probably be working overtime today. Just another day in the life of a librarian!

Work doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do—I’m pretty passionate about the Dewey Decimal system and keeping track of overdue books—but it’s also important to love who you work with. We had another staff meeting after lunch, which are my favorite! We sit around the table with our cute coffee mugs and some sugar cookies from the local bakery. Me, Barb, my boss Angie, and Dawn from HR. Sometimes Carl from custodial comes in to say hi. None of us really like him though. He just doesn’t fit in, you know? The ladies and I usually chit chat about parenting and embroidery hacks, sometimes we compare glasses to find the perfect cat eye for our face shapes. I’m not a parent, I don’t embroider, and I have laser perfect vision… but these girls give me LIFE. I can’t imagine not being a librarian.

…Oh, why am I shirtless?

I don’t know, sometimes you just feel like not wearing a shirt! Don’t ya?
